इन्दौर सुदामा नगर में चातुर्मास कर रहे परम पूज्य आचार्य श्री 108 विशद सागर जी के संघस्थ स्थविर मुनि श्री 108 विशाल सागर जी महाराज लगातार 72 दिन के त्रिकाल चौबीसी व्रत-उपवास की साधना कर रहे हैं।
गेहूं, चावल, चना, मूंग आदि सभी प्रकार के अनाज का सभी प्रकार के फलो का, हरी सब्जियो का, मिर्च मसालो का, घी-नमक- दूध-बूरा-तेल-दही आदि छओ रसो का, काजु-छुआरा-अखरोट-मखाना आदि ड्राई फुड का त्याग चल रहा है।
48 घन्टे निर्जल उपवास के बाद भी सभी प्रकार के स्वादिष्ट व्यंजनो को छोड़कर नीरस, अल्प आहार लेकर ऊनोदर तप की साधना भी कर रहे है। 3 जुलाई से 12 सितंबर तक 72 दिन से लगातार चल रही , अनशन-उनोदर तप साधना के बाद 13 सितम्बर को 72 दिन बाद अन्न ग्रहण करेंगे महापारणा होगा।

Muni Shri 108 Vishalsagarji Maharaj received Initiation from Acharya Shri 108 Vishad Sagarji Maharaj.
The former name of Muni Shri 108 Vishal Sagarji Maharaj was Sudhir Jain. His father’s name is Shri Manakchand Jain and his mother’s name is Smt. Padmadevi Jain. He was born on 10th June 1973 in Jaipur, Rajasthan. His siblings are Shri Sunil Jain, Shri Anil Jain, Smt. Sunita Jain, and Smt. Anita Jain. He undertook the vow of Brahmacharya on 19th October 1999 (Vijaya Dashami) and later accepted the Saptam Pratima Vrat on 22nd August 2004 (Moksha Saptami). On 13th February 2005 (Basant Panchami), at Malpura, Tonk, Rajasthan, under the guidance of Acharya Shri 108 Vishad Sagarji Maharaj, he was initiated into monkhood and named Muni Shri 108 Vishal Sagarji Maharaj. Later, on 11th October 2024, at Jhansi, Madhya Pradesh, he was conferred the revered title of Sthavira Pad.
His austerities are extraordinary and inspirational. He performed 300 vandanas of the 25 Tonks of Sammed Shikharji within ten months, and at each Tonk, he completed 1008 circumambulations of every shrine, displaying unparalleled devotion. He also completed five full circumambulations of the 55 km Sammed Shikharji Hill. In addition, he undertook 1008 circumambulations at many other sacred sites, including the Shri Pushpadant Ji of Terah Panthi Kothi, Sahasrakoot Jinalaya, Chhatri of Acharya Shri Vimal Sagarji, Shri Vasupujya Ji of Champapur Tirth, Shri Mahavir Swami of Mahavirji, Shri Padmaprabhu Ji of Padmapura, Shri Adinath Ji of Adishwar Dham, Haryana, Shri Vimalnath Ji at Kampil, Shri Parshvanath Ji at Bhelupur Kashi, Shri Sheetalnath Ji at Itkhori, Shri Shambhavnath Ji at Shravasti, the altar of Shri Adinath Ji at Ayodhya, Shri Bahubali Ji of Barabanki, the Sahasrakoot Jinalaya at 30 Chaubisi in Jhansi, and the original altar at Nemawar. At each place, he recited the 1008 names of the Lord along with 1008 circumambulations, expressing the deep aspiration to become like them.
From the year 1999 to 2025, over a span of 26 years, Muni Shri practiced 50 types of religious vows related to Jain Dharma, which are as follows in sequence.

- Between the years 2005 and 2025, Muni Shri, enduring various afflictions and hardships (upsarga–parishaha), performed severe austerities such as prolonged fasts, standing continuously for many hours in the Khadgasana posture, practicing rigorous bodily mortification, deep meditation, chanting, and other spiritual disciplines at the following places.

2025 Chaturmas
In Indore’s Sudama Nagar, as part of the Chaturmas observance, the revered Acharya Shri 108 Vishad Sagar Ji Maharaj is presently staying with his spiritual group. Among his accompanying saints, senior monk Muni Shri 108 Vishal Sagar Ji Maharaj is engaged in a remarkable spiritual practice of Trikaal Chaubisi Vrat-Upvas (fasting three times a day) continuously for 72 days.

He has completely renounced: All types of grains like wheat, rice, chickpeas, green gram, etc. All varieties of fruits, Green vegetables, Spices and chilies All six tastes including ghee, salt, milk, sugar powder (boora), oil, curd, Dry fruits like cashews, dates, walnuts, fox nuts (makhana), etc. Deep Austerity: Even after undergoing 48-hour waterless fasts, he continues his (austerity with minimal, tasteless food) — completely abstaining from all delicious and flavored food items. This intense Anshan Sadhana (fasting and minimal intake practice) began on 3rd July and will continue until 12th September, completing 72 consecutive days.
On 13th September 2025, after 72 days of such severe penance, he will finally break his fast with Mahaparna (ritualistic food intake).
